The problem

Three things break the last mile here

We ran into all three from the other side of the counter — as a manufacturer whose furniture had to reach a fourth-floor flat on a Tuesday.

PROBLEM 01

One vehicle type has to do every job

A two-wheeler carries a 200 g medicine strip and a 40 kg chair, over 800 m and over 9 km, in traffic and in rain. Something is always the wrong tool, and the cost of that lands on the customer.

PROBLEM 02

A machine has nowhere to put a parcel

Rovers and drones only work if there is a lockable place to hand a parcel over. Indian buildings have gates, guards and eleven floors — not landing pads. The handoff is the missing infrastructure, not the robot.

PROBLEM 03

The rider absorbs everything that goes wrong

Rain, a wrong address, a lift that is out, a locked gate — the person on the seat pays for all of it in time and earnings. A better network has to take those legs off them, not squeeze them harder.

The dispatcher picks the mode, per parcel

One system that reads payload, distance, weather, airspace and cost and assigns the right crew member — even splitting one job across a rider, a drone and a rover. This is the software we are writing now.

Drop boxes and ports, built in our own shop

Lockers in the lobby, a port on the roof, a swap cabinet at the hub. Sheet metal is what we already make, so the handoff layer is the part we can build fastest — and it is what makes a machine leg possible at all.

Riders as crew, with the worst legs taken away

Earnings shown before a job is accepted, insurance and welfare registration handled, shift caps in software. Machines exist to take the stair climbs and the dead-end waits, not to cut the rider's rate.

Mode selection and multimodal routing

It can split one job across modes — a rider leg to a port, an air leg between ports, a rover leg to the door — and it will refuse a mode outright when conditions or rules say no.
